Our Mother's Day Gift Boxes are best eaten at room temperature, which is when the cakes are moist and the buttercream melts in your mouth (HINT: If the buttercream is hard when you eat it, it's not yet at room temperature). The cookies do not need to be refrigerated
Please note that all our Mother's Day Gift Boxes contain cakes and cupcakes made with buttercream (unless otherwise specified) and are refrigerated overnight before delivery/collection to ensure safe travel. Consequently, your cakes and cupcakes may arrive rock hard (alas butter hardens when chilled) and may seem dry if you eat it immediately. Do not be alarmed! Simply leave it out of the fridge for 1-2 hours in warm weather or 3-4 hours in cooler months for it to return to room temperature before enjoying your delicious cake.

Our Mother's Day Gift Sets are freshly baked to order.
We aim to deliver your Mother's Day Gift Set as early as possible within your chosen delivery window. One-hour delivery windows may be possible for an additional fee. Please email us at hello@goodcakeday.com to enquire.
If you cannot accept delivery please make alternative arrangements (e.g. leave with a neighbour) and let us know at least 24 hours before the delivery date.
Please note that if you collect your Mother's Day Gift Set, it becomes your responsibility from the moment they are handed to you. We will not accept liability for any damage that occurs in transit. If we deliver your Mother's Day Gift Set, it remains our responsibility until it is handed over to you or left at the agreed safe location of your choosing. We will not accept liability for any damage that occurs once delivery is completed. For the avoidance of doubt, delivery is completed once the cupcakes are handed to you.
Mother's Day Gift Set care
'Our Mother's Day Gift Sets never contain any gelatin or preservatives unless stated'
Cake Slabs are best eaten on the day of delivery at room temperature so there is no need to store your Mother's Day Gift Sets in the fridge. Leave them in the box they are delivered in until you are ready to eat or display them.
Never place your Mother's Day Gift Set in direct sunlight, like any human in the heat they will get hot & bothered and start to melt 🙃.
To preserve any leftover Mother's Day Gift Set; put it in an airtight container with a slice or 2 of white bread and eat it within 3 days - refresh the bread (if needed) as it dries out. Our Mother's Day Gift Set can be frozen for up to 3 months for longer preservation. Thaw out overnight in the fridge and eat within 2-3 days. Don’t forget to place your Mother's Day Gift Set in an airtight container with a slice of white bread to retain moisture.
Returns
Our Mother's Day Gift Sets are baked to order and perishable therefore we cannot accept returns. If something is wrong, it needs to be reported within 24 hours of delivery and not after. We cannot take responsibility for anything reported after.
At the point of delivery please check you are satisfied with your Mother's Day Gift Set – if there are any problems at this point the driver should be made aware and can notify the kitchen so we make rectify the problem if possible.
