Say goodbye to your last decade in the most spectacular style — this show-stopping black Lambeth burn away cake is dark, dramatic, and utterly unforgettable. Because turning thirty deserves a celebration as bold as you are.
Tongue-in-cheek, jaw-droppingly beautiful, and guaranteed to send the internet into a frenzy — this is the cake for anyone ready to leave their twenties in the dust and step into their next glorious chapter.
How It Works: Light the top and watch the magic unfold — the "RIP 20's" gravestone layer dramatically burns away to reveal a surprise "Hello 30" message hidden beneath. The ultimate birthday reveal moment, guaranteed to stop the room.
Decorations: A striking all-black cake finished in deep glossy buttercream, adorned with dramatic layers of Lambeth-style ruffles, ornate scroll piping, and intricate buttercream detailing cascading beautifully around every tier — a dark and glamorous twist on the classic Lambeth technique. Black satin ribbon bows add a darkly luxurious finishing touch. The burn-away top features a wafer paper gravestone scene complete with a skull and crossbones and the iconic "RIP 20's" inscription surrounded by wispy graveyard grass.

Delivery: Available for delivery across London (delivery charges apply).
Please Note: Each cake is lovingly handmade to order, so slight variations in the final design may occur — making every cake beautifully one of a kind.
Our cakes are best eaten at room temperature, which is when the sponge is moist and the buttercream melts in your mouth (HINT: If the buttercream is hard when you eat it, it's not yet at room temperature).
Please note that all our cakes are buttercream cakes and are refrigerated overnight before delivery to ensure safe travel. Consequently, your cake may arrive rock hard (alas butter hardens when chilled) and may seem dry if you eat it immediately. Do not be alarmed! Simply leave it out of the fridge for 1-2 hours in warm weather or 3-4 hours in cooler months for it to return to room temperature before enjoying your delicious cake.
We require at least 3 working days' notice for cake orders. Order in advance to guarantee availability

Cake care
'Our cakes never contain any gelatin or preservatives unless stated'
We advise you to place your cake in the fridge, depending on your occasion and ideally bring it out of the fridge at least two hours before eating it (one hour in the summertime) or let this be the last thing you set on the table.
Single-tier cakes will stand for 6 hours and our stacked cakes can stand for at least 4hrs + during cooler climates and in the summer 3-4hrs. In hot climates, we recommend placing the cake in a well-ventilated room or a well air-conditioned room.
Never place our cakes in direct sunlight, like any human in the heat they will get hot & bothered and start to melt.
Your cake will come with our illustrated cake-cutting guide showing you how to cut a tall cake.
To preserve any leftover cake; place in an airtight container with a slice or 2 of white bread and eat it within a week or 2 - refresh the bread as it dries out. For longer preservation; our cakes can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw out overnight in the fridge and ear within 2-3 days. Don’t forget to place the cake in an airtight container with a slice of white bread. Alternatively, wrap your cake with cling film/foil and place it in the fridge
